Program Goals
Unidos Por Salud collaborates with different community members including high school youth, college interns and people who have a passion to advocate for healthier tobacco-free communities. Our program goals include Community Engagement and supporting the adoption of a Tobacco Retail License (TRL) policy in the cities of Reedley and Lindsay.

Leadership and Capacity Building
We offer various capacity building, civic engagement and leadership opportunities for community members and youth to become leaders in their community.

C.A.L.I Youth Coalition
The C.A.L.I. Youth coalition, present throughout the state under CHC, works to create positive community change by focusing on policy advocacy, partnerships, and core health issues like mental health, nicotine use, and drug prevention.

Internships
We provide a paid internship for students from Fresno State, Reedley College, and College of the Sequoias, in the Central Valley, focusing on policy change and public health interventions to reduce health issues impacting the Latinx community.
Tobacco Retail Licensing (TRL)
The program supports communities with adopting and implementing Tobacco Retail Licensing policies that create healthier and safer environments for youth and their families by ensuring local and state laws are enforced.
General Plan Work
The program supports communities with developing and strengthening local General Plans by promoting policies that prioritize public health, reduce tobacco-related exposure, and create healthier, safer environments for residents and future generations.

Community Mini-Grant Partnership
The Community Engagement Partnership Project invites central valley non-profits, community organizations, high school clubs or youth led groups organizations to submit an application to lead efforts in addressing tobacco-related health disparities and promoting overall wellness. Participating agencies will play an active role in implementing public health interventions and leading policy change efforts in the Reedley and in the Lindsay communities.

Lindsay Community Coalition
A space for organizations serving Lindsay to share updates, events, and collaborate opportunities every first Wednesday of the month.

Reedley Community Coalition
The Reedley Community Coalition brings together local Reedley organizations, community members, and partners to identify community needs, strengthen collaboration, and support strategies that improve the health and well-being of Reedley residents.
